Our mission is to provide long term and temporary assistance to those
who have fallen on difficult times in hopes of returning them to the
independent pursuit of their life’s goals.



 

HISTORY

 
 

In 1987 ten local pastors started Active Faith as a non-denominational, non-discriminating, licensed, 501C 3 charity.  Active Faith Community Services has worked with low-income households residing within our 84 square mile rural school district. We were established as a food pantry and clothing closet and we have never veered from that original mission which was to help individuals become self sufficient and realizing that it is only as we develop others that we permanently succeed.
 
Active Faith is constantly changing to meet the needs of the community. We can steer you to the right agencies even when you are NOT low income.  Get through the maze a little easier by starting at Active Faith.

Active Faith works through a case management program, offering individuals and families
 
  • food
  • clothing
  • children's tutoring
  • THAW Fund site for utility help
 
Last year, in 2012, Active Faith dispersed 245,085 tons of food. We distributed twice a month to an average of 167 households.  Our volunteers made 594 home deliveries throughout the year.  Emergency food assistance was provided throughout the year when needed.  Our volunteers logged in a total of 7,477. total community hours on behalf of our organization.
